WHAT WE BELIEVE
Jana Fuchs, LCPC
Owner and Founder
My goal as a therapist is to help you find solutions that work for you and your individual needs.
Through various evidence based techniques, we will determine which behaviors and/or thoughts might be holding you back from maximizing your best life. There is no perfect candidate for psychotherapy, nor is therapy a “one size fits all” relationship. I have years of experience treating a diverse client population with varying needs. In particular, some of the issues that I often treat include depression and anxiety, grief and trauma, relationship issues, perinatal mental health issues, transitions to parenthood, and couple’s counseling. I practice from an anti-racist, multi-cultural perspective, which means that all races, religions, ethnicities, and sexual orientations are deeply honored and respected in the work that I do.
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Kelly is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern who is a Master’s level student in the final year of her graduate program at Northwestern University.
In an effort to provide low cost therapy to those in need, JF Counseling selected Kelly to join the team based upon her professional training in community mental health and private practice settings. Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Psychology and previously had a career in tech sales. Kelly has additional training including: Gottman Level 1 Certification for Couples Therapy, Neurobiology of Trauma, and Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents. She is passionate and experienced in working with young professionals and adults with anxiety, depression, grief, relational issues, and life transitions. She is currently accepting new clients for in-person and telehealth sessions.”
“My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space where you can authentically identify, define, and become your favorite version of yourself. Through empathy, validation, and vulnerability, I develop meaningful relationships in which we can work together to foster growth. Whether that means healing past traumas, learning how to cope with current triggers, or understanding how you’re showing up in your relationships, I’m here to support and empower you with new tools. My integrative and relational approach to therapy emphasizes self-compassion, coping skills, restructuring unhelpful thought patterns, and emotional regulation. My straightforward therapeutic style includes ample humility, curiosity, and humor. I’d be honored to be a part of your mental health journey.”
